Mobile Post Production in the Bay Area

Post-production is a highly interactive process that is
almost always performed against a tight deadline. One of
the ways CLAi addresses the challenge of editing is to provide
a choice between editing at our studios in San Francisco or bringing
an entire edit facility to you (with our editor or your own).

We can edit right on location, starting the backup and digitizing/encoding process while shooting is still going on, placing shots straight into Final Cut Pro. This saves you valuable project hours on your post timeline, and cuts your budget as well - but more than that, it gives you immediacy and security. You can view your footage in an edit as it is captured, giving you the ability to check the shots you are getting - complete with color correction - in context, and make fine tuning or reshoot decisions right then and there... you can even leave your location with a finished program!

The alternative is for us to do part or all of your editing on your own doorstep - using Big Red to produce a rough cut on location and then take the program back to the studio to do technical finishing and mastering. CLAi give you the convenience of editing precisely where and when you want to.
